Love And Joy
It has been a few weeks of busy holiday fun and preparations along with creating Christmas homes for you!
Thank you all so very much for your kind words, interest and purchases from the Winter Wonderland!!! I do love making the various homes, church and Santa's Sleigh for all of you!
I have also been helping Cailtin, my daughter, get ready for the Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Sale. This event actually took place this past weekend! This was great fun, and Caitlin's booth/table looked FANTASTIC!!! I would say, with no bias whatsoever hehehe, Nice had the best booth of all! (She has all of the photos.)
Sunday afternoon we left the Renegade and headed out on our own!!! This is not a usual event, to have uninterrupted time, no real time frame . We stopped by Shabby Chic where I browsed to my hearts content. Visited with Elisabeth, my favorite Shabby Chic girl! So very very kind and sweet and knowledgeable. I made a few small purchases, which I cannot show at this time... sorry.
After Shabby Chic, we went to lunch at a wonderful cafe, Nookies Too. Every table we passed held deliciously prepared items.
It was going to be difficult to choose! In the end we had a wonderful turkey club which we split. We do that a lot, way too much food otherwise. Then we drove down Michigan Avenue to see the holiday hustle and bustle (way too cold to get out).
Yesterday I put a few more items in the shop (etsy). I will be joining Lolli Shops also, but not until my personal IT person can assist me,ur, I mean do it for me while teaching me. yep.
Little bitty Cottages of Love and Joy :)
A flurry of beautiful glass, pink beads, vintage! Thank You MOM!
Whew, there has been alot going on! In the past I have always left December free from work, except for a few friends needing some projects or gifts finished up. I do, as I know all of you do also, value time with family, friends and preparing for our family holiday happenings. I also get the urge to make NEW things during this time!!! How contradictory! I once went out two
days before Christmas to find red and white check fabric of good weight to make a table cloth and napkins for Christmas morning! Does all of that fuss really matter? NO. It is very nice and fun to do, but time with each other is all that matters.
Hugs,
Mary
